Winter Storm Kade headed our way – up to 13″ of snow!

map

A winter storm is headed our way, bringing an expected snowfall of 8-13″ in Stowe, 4-8″ in the Killington/Okemo area, and 2-4″ at Mount Snow! Mother Nature’s been a little skimpy with the snow this year, so we’re pretty excited.

s of Wednesday morning, part one of this storm is expected to arrive late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, bringing 1-3″ of snow across the region. Precipitation will taper off through Thursday but part two of this storm is expected to arrive overnight with any mixed precipitation (sleet, freezing rain) turning back to snow by mid-morning on Friday, with a total snowfall of 8-13″ predicted in northern Vermont and 4-8″ for the southern part of the state.

Of course, all winter storms come with an element of uncertainty and early predictions can change, but we’re looking forward to a good snowfall across much of the area! Keep an eye on the forecasts (links below) and please drive carefully if you’re traveling in Vermont on Thursday and Friday. Leave extra time to reach your destination safely!
